Abbey Road

1969 Apple Records SO-383 copy of The Beatles’ Abbey Road, a single 33 1/3 RPM LP produced by George Martin and identified in the inventory as a ’69 Winchester pressing. The supplied matrix detail reads SO-1-383-B28 -----◄, giving this copy a concrete pressing marker while it is not designated as a first pressing.

The jacket presents the famous Abbey Road crossing photograph on the front, with the four Beatles moving across the striped pavement beneath a receding London street. The back cover shows the Abbey Road street-sign wall design, Apple Records branding, the Side One and Side Two track lists, and visible Apple SO-383 text at the upper right; lower credits include the E.M.I. recording note, thanks to George Martin, Geoff Emerick, and Phillip McDonald, and photography by Iain Macmillan.

Condition is collectible but handled: the outer sleeve is graded Very Good Plus, still in shrink wrap, with light corner wear and the shrink’s fine vertical rippling visible across both panels. The vinyl is graded Very Good to Good Plus, with one noted scratch on Side Two, track 3, and otherwise superficial wear. A well-identified 1969-era Apple pressing of a defining Beatles LP, retaining the stark visual power of its original package.
