Highway 61 Revisited

Estimated c. 1967 Columbia stereo pressing of Bob Dylan’s Highway 61 Revisited, originally published in 1965, sealed as a single 33 1/3 RPM LP under catalog CS-9189. The front jacket carries Columbia’s “Stereo 360 Sound” mark and Daniel Kramer’s cover photograph in a broad white border, with the title set in black and bronze above Dylan’s seated portrait. The album is produced by Bob Johnston, with the rear panel also crediting Tom Wilson for “Like a Rolling Stone.”

The back cover is dense in the classic Columbia manner: track list and timings for “Like a Rolling Stone,” “Tombstone Blues,” “Ballad of a Thin Man,” “Highway 61 Revisited,” “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues,” and “Desolation Row,” musician credits including Michael Bloomfield, Al Kooper, Paul Griffin, Bobby Gregg, Harvey Goldstein, Charley McCoy, Frank Owens, and Russ Savakus, plus Dylan’s own long-form notes and black-and-white studio photographs. A small Record Factory price sticker remains at the upper right rear.

This copy remains sealed in shrink, with the sleeve and record listed Mint/Near Mint in the inventory; the vinyl and label details are therefore not visually verified, and the pressing is not represented as a first pressing. The jacket presents cleanly, with light age or shelf tone visible through the wrap at the pale margins. An intact Columbia example of Dylan’s mid-1960s LP, retaining strong sealed-package appeal and the full period back-cover text.
