Islands
1977 Capitol Records single LP of The Band’s Islands, offered here as a 33 1/3 rpm Winchester pressing produced by The Band. The listed runout detail includes SO-1-11602 Z3 #2 —◁, pairing the album’s late-1970s Capitol manufacture with a collectible plant-specific identifier.
The jacket presents one of the album’s most memorable visual gestures: a sunset over water framed by dark profile silhouettes, with Islands set above the heavy block lettering of THE BAND and Capitol branding at the upper left. The back cover is spare and black, printed with the full track listing, production credits, and a centered black-and-white group photograph; songs shown include “Right As Rain,” “Street Walker,” “Christmas Must Be Tonight,” “Islands,” “Georgia On My Mind,” and “Livin’ In A Dream.”
The record is black vinyl with orange Capitol labels and is housed with a plain white inner sleeve. Condition is graded VG+ for the record and VG for the outer sleeve, with light corner wear noted and visible along the jacket edges. A clean, period Capitol copy of Islands, grounded by its Winchester pressing information and the album’s understated photographic packaging.
