Living In The USA

1978 Asylum Records 33 1/3 RPM single LP of Linda Ronstadt’s “Living In The USA,” catalog 6E-155, produced by Peter Asher and offered here as a sealed, unknown pressing. The album presents Ronstadt in one of her most recognizable late-1970s visual modes: a black cover field with pink name lettering, a tall central photograph of her in a blue jacket on roller skates, and the title set low with the stylized teal “USA.”

The front retains a callout noting “Includes the hit Back in the U.S.A.” along with a blue-and-white store sticker reading “Records Are Your Best Entertainment Value.” The back cover continues the roller-skate imagery against a dark outdoor scene and prints the track list, including “Back In The U.S.A.,” “When I Grow Too Old To Dream,” “Just One Look,” “Alison,” “White Rhythm & Blues,” “All That You Dream,” “Ooh Baby Baby,” “Mohammed’s Radio,” “Blowing Away,” and “Love Me Tender.” Asylum Records branding and the 6E-155 catalog number appear at lower right.

Condition is especially collectible: the LP remains sealed in shrink, with both record and outer sleeve recorded as mint to near mint. The photographs show age and handling evidence to the wrap itself, including light surface scuffing/clouding and small edge or corner wrinkles, but the package remains unopened. A strong sealed example of Ronstadt’s 1978 Asylum album, rooted in the polished Elektra/Asylum pop-rock moment of the late 1970s.
