Some Girls

1978 Rolling Stones Records issue of The Rolling Stones’ Some Girls, catalog COC 39108, a sealed unknown early pressing of the single 33 1/3 RPM LP produced by The Glimmer Twins. The album remains in shrink wrap, with the front bearing the round “Contains the Single Miss You” sticker printed with the catalog number.

The jacket presents the album’s faux wig-catalog artwork in vivid bands of blue, pink, green, and yellow, crowded with illustrated faces, beauty-copy slogans, style numbers, and mock prices. The back continues the advertising-parody design in paler panels, folding track titles and musician credits into lingerie-ad typography; the Rolling Stones tongue logo and COC 39108 are visible near the lower left, and a yellow-orange price sticker remains on the rear shrink.

Condition is strong and collectible: the outer sleeve is recorded as near mint, while the sealed record is listed mint/near mint. The principal noted issue is a large flaw or disturbance in the shrink on the back, visible among the natural crinkle and tension of the wrap. As a sealed 1978 Stones title in an early but unidentified pressing, it preserves both the LP format and the sharp graphic wit of the band’s late-seventies presentation.
