L.A. Woman

1971 Elektra stereo LP of The Doors’ L.A. Woman, an early Pitman pressing of the single 33 1/3 RPM album with the noted side-A matrix EKS-75011-A-1 CP and Artisan logo. Produced by Bruce Botnick and The Doors, this copy carries the EKS-75011 catalog number visible on the jacket and labels, placing it firmly in the album’s original Elektra-era presentation.

The sleeve retains the distinctive burgundy-red rounded-corner cover design, with large white DOORS lettering above a yellow-tinted window portrait of the band and the heavy black L.A. WOMAN title below. The back cover is spare and graphic, listing the full track sequence, personnel, Elektra credits, and Los Angeles recording note; the vinyl is shown on the Elektra butterfly label with the album title and side listings printed around the center.

Condition is collector-usable rather than pristine: the outer sleeve is graded VG/G+ with overall wear, including visible rubbing, edge and corner wear, creasing, and a more pronounced worn area at the lower right front corner, while the back shows surface marks and a small tear/crease area. The record is likewise graded VG/G+, with noted wear on side one and visible sleeve scuffs/hairlines under light. A grounded copy of one of The Doors’ defining 1971 Elektra releases, with its period artwork and pressing identifiers still strongly present.
