The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

1967 United Artists Records stereo 33 1/3 single LP of Ennio Morricone’s The Good, The Bad and The Ugly original motion picture soundtrack, a U.S. soundtrack issue tied to Sergio Leone’s western. The front cover announces “stereo” across a red header with the United Artists logo and UAS 5172 visible, framing a saturated orange poster scene of the three armed figures, cannon, cavalry, and battlefield smoke beneath the title and “Music by Ennio Morricone.”

The reverse uses a stark black-and-white film-poster layout with United Artists Records, Inc. at 729 Seventh Avenue, New York, back-cover copy invoking the Man With No Name, and credits for Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, Eli Wallach, and Sergio Leone. The printed track list spans two sides, including the main title, “The Desert,” “The Story of a Soldier,” “The Ecstasy of Gold,” and “The Trio—Main Title.”

The black vinyl carries United Artists labels marked ST-91464, Made in U.S.A., with Capitol Records manufacturing text visible; the back cover also shows ST 91464. Record is graded Very Good, with light surface marks visible in the photos. Sleeve is Very Good overall, with age toning to the pale borders and a more noticeable faded/abraded area along the top of the back cover.
