1971 Track Record early U.K. pressing of The Who’s Who’s Next, presented as a single 33 1/3 RPM LP on black vinyl with the 2408 102 catalog number visible on the Track labels and rear sleeve. This copy includes the noted Head Hunters inner sleeve, placing it firmly in the album’s early British issue history rather than a later repackage.
The front jacket carries the stark Ethan A. Russell cover photograph: the band set against a concrete monolith under a pale, unsettled sky, with the title printed sparely near the top. The rear sleeve is the dark green layout with track list, studio photograph, production credits, Track Record branding, and “Marketed by Polydor” mark; credits include production by The Who and associate production by Glyn Johns, with the album’s sequence listing “Baba O’Riley,” “Behind Blue Eyes,” and “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”
Condition is collectible but plainly vintage: the record is graded Very Good Plus and remains glossy, while the outer sleeve is Very Good with visible edge rub, corner wear, surface scuffing, small creases, and general handling wear. A solid early U.K. copy of one of The Who’s central 1971 statements, retaining the period sleeve details and label presentation that give the object its character.
